Key features of PTO clutches

Designed and tested as an in-line clutch, it serves as an engageable and disengageable connection between drive units and driven equipment, for example between a gearbox and a pump, as well as in similar setups. Engagement and disengagement are controlled through the system’s hydraulic supply. The required operating pressure is typically up to 30 bar. Higher pressures are available on request.

Torques in the range of 1 to 1500 Nm can be reliably transmitted with this PTO (power take-off) clutch. Dry-running friction discs ensure consistent torque transmission during operation. The use of special sealing materials allows for leak-free operation and low drag torque.

Torque-transmitting components such as the housing and hub are made from high-strength, heat-treated materials. The compact design allows the clutch unit to be easily integrated into new systems or retrofitted into existing applications. Various configurations are available for connecting your equipment. Custom versions, for example with integrated belt output, are also available on request.

Based on many years of experience in drive technology, Amsbeck Power Solutions Inc. has expanded its product range to include HZK-type hydraulically actuated PTO clutches. . Contact us to discuss your application.
